CARYL SERBIN, RN, BSN, LHRM - PRESIDENT

Caryl Serbin, RN, BSN, LHRM is president and founder of Surgery Consultants of America, a development and management company for ambulatory surgery centers, and Serbin Surgery Center Billing, an ASC billing and coding company. Ms. Serbin has more than twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry, with the last eighteen years spent in ambulatory surgery administration and consulting. Her companies provide development, management and billing services for numerous freestanding and hospital joint-ventured ambulatory surgery centers.
As a recognized leader in the industry, Ms. Serbin presents extensively at ASC national seminars and association meetings, authors articles on ASC-related topics, serves on the board and contributes regularly to industry publications. She was recognized in Who’s Who in the Ambulatory Surgery Center Industry in 2005 and was chosen as the 2007 spokesperson for AAASC to present a series of educational seminars on the changing CMS payment system and its impact on ASCs.

JUDITH L. ENGLISH - VICE-PRESIDENT BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Judith English, Vice-President of Business Operations and partner in Surgery Consultants of America and Serbin Surgery Center Billing, has more than thirty-five years experience in the healthcare industry and has assisted in the development and management of multiple ambulatory surgery centers. She is the co-author of several articles and columns in industry publications and has been a featured speaker at many national ASC association meetings and seminars.
Ms. English is experienced in ambulatory surgery center and medical practice coding, healthcare billing and collections, compliance, HIPPA, credentialing, and healthcare billing and is the collaborative author of ambulatory surgery center policy and procedure manuals.

DAWN GRAY, CPC, CCP - MANAGER

Dawn Gray, CPC, is the Director of Operations for Serbin Surgery Center Billing (SCB) and has been with SCA’s sister company since its inception. She has worked in the healthcare field for over nineteen years in several capacities from patient care to billing, collections, consulting, auditing and managed care contracting. Ms. Gray is a Certified Professional Coder and an active member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. She also developed and taught a coding education course at a local community college.
Ms. Gray served as Business Office Manager for a large pediatric outpatient clinic and was instrumental in the development of business office areas including scheduling, insurance verification, billing, collections, coding, compliance and auditing, as well as education of business office personnel and writing and implementing of policies and procedures.

YVONDA MOORE, MBA, SENIOR BUSINESS CONSULTANT FOR SCA

Yvonda Moore, MBA, is a Senior Business Office Consultant for Surgery Consultants of America. She has worked with ambulatory surgery centers since 1989 and has over 10 years ASC accounting management experience.
Ms. Moore previously served as the surgery center Division Controller for a healthcare management company. Ms. Moore was also involved with acquisitions and development of additional facilities, transitioning existing business offices to new ownership and developing new business offices. As Controller, she was also responsible for software standardization and conversions and coordinating the annual budget process. Ms. Moore is a Member of HFMA.
